**** USING A VFO *****
Connecting a VFO to the tuning units:
The VFO to be used need only to cover a range of 1.8Mhz to 4 Mhz. This will give operation on the 160m , 80m,40m and 20m band and some bands in between.
Connect a 680pfd cap in series with the vfo lead, if their is none in the VFO output, and connect to the xtal socket on the tuning unit to be used. The right side of the xtal socket is the is ground.
I use a BNC cable and a "bannana plug to BNC" adapter, this plugs nicely into the xtal socket, note the correct polarity.
